AirLink Services deliver real-time visibility, robust security and proactive management of your networks. All new AirLink routers come with one year of AirLink Complete or AirLink Premium based on the router purchased*.

Renewing your service subscriptions is the best way to ensure that your routers remain secure, up-to-date, and easy to manage. With your renewal you will continue to receive remote device management, access to Semtech support teams, fully featured firmware releases and additional value-added services. ​

AirLink services are critical to successful deployments as they:​

  • Bring scale to customer deployments: thousands of devices can be managed as easily as one.​
  • Ensure the solution remains secure and up to date by providing alerts to monitor the security posture and offering easy access to, and remote deployment of, the latest firmware and security updates.
  • Reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by including hardware warranty (up to 5 years) and streamlining deployment, management, and support of the end-to-end solution.​
  • Reduce downtime with 24/7 access to wireless experts for faster troubleshooting and problem-resolution.
The renewal date is the date at which your first router(s) reach their end of-support date. We will renew the entire fleet of routers at that time, consolidating the renewals of other routers as required. ​ You will receive a reminder email 3 months before the anniversary date, and every month thereafter to remind you of upcoming devices to be suspended in ALMS. These notifications are sent to all Administrators on the customer’s ALMS account.​
Yes, this is the default position at Semtech. We will take into account the remaining coverage and ​ deduct it from the renewal cost. The main benefit of this method is that you no longer have to juggle multiple renewal dates and only have to engage in a renewal conversation once a year.
Your routers will remain operational with their existing feature set. You will still be able to configure them locally and access critical security patches (locally). However, you will lose access to remote management through the management platform. You will also lose access to our support team, to extended hardware warranty and to value-added services (current or future).
The minimum contract term for AirLink Services is one year, but customers can upgrade to a 3- or 5-year subscription.
