Issy-les-Moulineaux, France -November 03, 2005

Wavecom SA (NASDAQ: WVCM; Euronext Paris (Eurolist): AVM; ISIN: FR0000073066), a leader in pre-packaged wireless communications solutions for automotive, industrial machine-to-machine and mobile professional applications, today announced the launch of its Wavecom University, a professional education program designed to help its customers take full benefit of the possibilities offered by Wavecom's solutions for industrial wireless applications. The first training program within the Wavecom University is the Open AT® Course.

Communication between machines is becoming a reality. By enabling machines to communicate, and thus transform data into useful information, companies will be able to better manage their information flow and improve operating efficiencies. At the heart of all communicating machine-to-machine applications is the software that makes it run. Wavecom, a market leader supplying software and hardware solutions to the wireless machine-to-machine market, has created Open AT IDE (Integrated Development Environment), an embedded software development environment that is flexible, easy to use and allows application developers to customize the functionality of any machine from automobiles to alarms and security systems, fleet management systems, automatic meter reading applications and point of sale terminals.

In order to allow its customers to truly capitalize on the value of Open AT, Wavecom has launched Open AT courses, complete with training specifically designed to provide development instruction at all levels of Open AT. "We are convinced that our Open AT software provides developers of machine-to-machine communication with the most powerful means of creating truly breakthrough applications," commented Jamie Garroch, Wavecom Director of Product Marketing. He added, "By offering application developers the chance to learn from experienced, professional trainers about the entire range of features and functionality that Open AT software provides, we believe that the developer community at large will have a chance to discover new ways to create innovative applications using Open AT software."

Courses began in September 2005 and the feedback has been positive. One participant to the initial 5-day training session stated: "Very useful and informative, trainer very knowledgeable and open, invaluable for all distributors. Recommended." Another commented: "A very good training. Our trainer was excellent, and all the hands-on practice was very useful."
