QUALCOMM and Wavecom Sign CDMA Module License Agreement

Wavecom provides its wireless communications expertise to improve vehicle communication and safety by promoting mobility and services.

QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, and Wavecom S.A. (Nasdaq: WVCM; Nouveau Marché: 7306), the world’s number one provider of integrated wireless modules, today announced that they have entered into a CDMA module license agreement. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, QUALCOMM has granted Wavecom a worldwide license under QUALCOMM’s CDMA technology and patents to develop, manufacture and sell cdmaOne™ and CDMA2000 1X/1xEV-DO modules for use in wireless communication devices.
