A new stage in Wavecom's growth Year-end Revenues

Wavecom draws even closer to its clients and adapts to the next stages in its growth through its new organization.

Wavecom S.A. (NASDAQ: WVCM; Nouveau Marché: WAVECOM), a leading developer of digital Wireless Standard Modules (WISMO™), has reorganized as part of a company strategy to get closer to its clients. The new organization, which serves as a base for Wavecom's ongoing development, was implemented January 2000.

To better respond to the specific needs and demands of each of its markets, Wavecom is now organized in three geographical entities. These are:

· Wavecom Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), based in Issy-les-Moulineaux (France)

· Wavecom Asia-Pacific (APAC), based in Hong Kong (China)

· Wavecom Americas, based in San Diego (USA).

On the corporate level, Wavecom has five functional departments which are Marketing and Sales, Research and Development, Manufacturing, Corporate Development and Communications, and Finance and Administration.

Wavecom also is refocusing its activities into four industry sectors in order to provide its clients with quality service and a better understanding of their specific demands. The four sectors are the automobile, multimedia, telemetry and telephony industries.

The restructuring prepares Wavecom for the next stages of growth by ensuring its consistent implementation on an international level across the different geographical zones, as well as on the corporate level. As a result of the reorganization, Wavecom is equipped with a reactive organization ready to meet all the technological challenges of tomorrow.
