The HL7900E 5G LPWA module is a cost-optimized solution designed for large-scale, long-lived deployments requiring deep area coverage, combining efficiency, longevity, and security. A streamlined variant of the proven HL7900, it delivers the core low-power performance industrial organizations need for deployments where the full feature set of the HL7900 is not a requirement.
This ultra-low power module remains significantly more power-efficient than previous-generation HL78 series modules, supporting long battery life across real-world IoT deployments. The HL7900E supports 3GPP Release 14, aligning with the long-term evolution of LTE-M and NB-IoT and making it a strong, future-ready choice for designs with extended service lifecycles.
Leveraging Semtech’s 30 years of expertise in low-power solutions and a long-standing partnership with Sony Altair, the HL7900E simplifies and de-risks low-power deployments across critical applications such as smart energy and smart metering.
