Digicom Selects WISMO for Reliable GSM/GPRS Connectivity

Wavecom S.A. (NASDAQ: WVCM; Nouveau Marché: 7306), a leading developer of digital wireless standard modules (WISMO™), today announced that it has signed a contract with Digicom Spa, the leading Italian producer of communication devices such as VoIP routers, xDSL, ISDN, and wired modems. Under the terms of the contract, Wavecom will supply its WISMO Quik modules for use across Digicom’s GSM/GPRS modem range.

Digicom’s wireless solutions are designed for use in a wide range of applications, including machine-to-machine communications. Chosen by Digicom as the most reliable GSM/GPRS engine on the market, the WISMO Quik module offers the additional advantage of a rich roadmap, comprising CDMA and an embedded software development environment, the MUSE Platform.
