Firmware Upgrade Instructions

STEP 1 - Ensure your Laptop is AirCard 510 Ready

In order to proceed to step 2, your laptop must have Watcher software already loaded. If you need Watcher for notebooks, for Sprint users Click here and for Bell Mobility users Click here. If your notebook is already loaded with Watcher continue to Step 2.

STEP 2 - Instructions to upgrade firmware

1. Make sure the modem is inserted into the PCMCIA card slot, and that there are no other applications (such as Fax software) running that uses the modem.

2. Double click on FRW134.exe. A message box should pop up telling you about the upgrade. Click Continue.

3. Wait until a message pops up saying that firmware upgrade is complete. This should take approximately 2 minutes.

Note: Do NOT at any time eject the modem while the upgrade tool is running. If the application stops responding, do not eject the modem. Shut down the upgrade tool and repeat step 2.
