AirCard300 Appears with a Yellow (!) in device Manager
This document covers the following products: Aircard 300 and Aircard 350
Symptoms
After loading the drivers for the AirCard 300, it appears under "Network Adapters" in Device Manager - but has a Yellow (!) next to it.
Reloading the Drivers, Updating the Drivers and Manually copying the drivers into the correct directories do not remove the Yellow (!). An error message may appear saying, "Your Network Adapter is not working correctly"
Resolution
This is caused by a problem in the Operating system or with the BIOS version on the computer.
This is resolved by ensuring that your Computer has the latest version of the BIOS installed. Check with your computer manufacturers website to ensure that you have the latest version of the BIOS installed on your computer.
After upgrading the BIOS, if the card still is not installed properly, you may need to run the Windows Setup again to reinstall the Operating System.
We have also seen this on laptops which report Windows 95 4.00.950B in System Properties. This can occur if Windows 95A is UPGRADED to Windows 95B. This is resolved by installing a full version of Windows 95B.
