Converting a Serial number to an EID

Resolution

It is possible to find the EID number for a Sierra Wireless product from the serial number.

Take the serial number, which is a number on the product starting with 206. To convert this to an EID number, take the numbers after the first three digits (206) of the Serial Number and convert them to the Hexadecimal equivalent. This hexadecimal number will follow after 00A0D5 to make the EID.

For Example:

ESN: 206xxxxxxxx EID: 00A0D5hhhhhh

206 and 00A0D5 are constant. hhhhhh is the hexadecimal conversion of xxxxxxxx
