Aircard® 300/350 Drivers do not load

This document cover the following products:

Aircard 300 (Part # 1200046)
Aircard 350 (Part # 1200104)

The part number is located on the back of the Aircard Cellular card.

Symptoms

When loading the software for the Aircard, the drivers do not load. When trying to install the drivers from the control panel, the drivers again do not load.

Resolution

1. A manual install of the drivers is required.
2. Insert the Sierra Wireless CD entitled "Product CD for Aircard 300/350".
3. Launch windows Explorer, browse the CD, and open the directory called Win9X
4. Copy following files from the Win9X folder:
   • ac300thk.dll
   • AIRWATCH.VXD
   • AIR300.sys
   • AIR300.DLL
5. Paste these files into the C:\windows\system folder
6. Copy the following file:
   • air300.inf
7. Paste this file into the C:\windows\inf\other. This is a hidden folder - To Unhide it, go to Tools > Folder Options (in Windows Explorer) and select the "View" tab. Select "Show all Files" in Windows 98. In Windows 95, go to View > Folder Options , select the "View" tab, and select "Show all Files".
