Support for Windows 7® Mobile Broadband
Microsoft has released four new innovative features for Windows® 7 that are relevant to the Sierra Wireless AirCard® product line. Windows 7 Mobile Broadband; Windows 7 Devices and Printers; Windows 7 Device Stage; and Windows 7 Location Sensors Platform.
Windows 7 Device Stage for mobile broadband devices was announced on November 10, 2009 with Sierra Wireless the first to offer Device Stage support to operators who have adopted Windows 7 Mobile Broadband. Device Stage provides a new way for users to interact with devices. It includes a visual interface that makes it easy for customers to find and use applications and services for their AirCards.
Sierra Wireless has been collaborating with Microsoft to provide support for Windows 7 mobile broadband throughout the Windows 7 beta period serving thousands of Windows 7 beta users with Sierra Wireless AirCards. With Windows 7 mobile broadband, the View Available Networks feature has been expanded to include mobile broadband devices, allowing customers using compatible Sierra Wireless devices to manage all their available network connections from one menu. For network operators and IT organizations, this means that Windows 7 mobile broadband can reduce support, maintenance, deployment, and management costs.
The table below shows the Sierra Wireless products that are Windows 7 logo-approved to date. Products with this logo support Windows 7 mobile broadband and are also capable of operating Sierra Wireless AirCard Watcher™ connection manager or other compatible connection managers simultaneously, allowing customers to choose how they prefer to manage their network connection.

Sierra Wireless AirCard Watcher connection manager software, device drivers, and Software Development Kits are upgraded to support Windows 7 for all devices.
