• 3G SDK R4.4.2-Build-0866 - May 3, 2006, latest released version of 3G SDK. This version of SDK provides: R4.4 API support, latest NDIS drivers and VSP support, CE.NET support, 64 bit support, WinVista support and VS.NET support for the AirCard850, AirCard860 modems and the MC87xx Minicard modems. The SDK contains WHQL'd NDIS drivers (2.0.0.20) for Win2K and WinXP, Drivers (2.0.0.21) for WinVista (non-WHQL'd), SDK Release Notes, API manual Rev 5, AT command reference Rev 2.0 and license agreement. • EVDO SDK R6.4 C++ - Latest APIs, drivers, and sample applications for the AirCard 580. Windows 2000 and XP are supported. Please read the Release Notes for important details. Please Note: This SDK only supports AirCard 580 firmware version 0.74 or higher. If you must upgrade the firmware, refer to the documentation that came with your AirCard application, check with your carrier, or go to www.sierrawireless.com - Support & Download Section.

  Clarification regarding AirCard 580 and PC 5220 SDK Support - May 25th, 2005

  AirCard 580 units using firmware versions 0.74 and greater (as of today this includes Sprint, Telus, and Telecom New Zealand) will be able to use the EVDO SDK functionality. Approvals with other carriers are proceeding, and software/firmware upgrades will be posted in the Support and Download section of www.sierrawireless.com for each carrier when they are available. Note it is not possible to use an upgrade for one carrier to upgrade an AirCard 580 or PC 5220 configured for another carrier.

  Verizon PC 5220 units using firmware versions 2.35 and greater will also be able to use the EVDO SDK pending Verizon approval of the latest software and firmware.

  If you are using the Watcher application:

  To check the current firmware version of your Aircard 580, start the Watcher application and select Help-> About Watcher. The firmware version should be listed as "p12074a0" Note "074" refers to firmware version 0.74

  If you are using the VZAccess application:

  To check the current firmware version of your PC 5220, start the VZAccess application and select Options-> Test WWAN device... The firmware version is listed beside "Version" in the Test Result dialog box. At the time of this writing, the latest Verizon approved version is 2.03, which does not support the use of the SDK. When firmware version 2.35 is approved by Verizon, the PC 5220 units can be upgraded to support the use of the SDK.

  If you are using the Modem Connection Manager application:

  To check the current firmware version of your PC 5220 or Aircard 580, start the Verizon Modem Connection Manager and select

  Help->About Tab. The current firmware version is listed as "Modem SW Ver." At the time of this writing, the latest Verizon approved version is 2.03, which does not support the use of the SDK. When firmware version 2.35 is approved by Verizon, the PC 5220 units can be upgraded to support the use of the SDK.

• GSM SDK R4.2.0.6 for C++ - for the AirCard® 710, AirCard 750, and AirCard 775 wireless network cards and the SB750A embedded module. This package includes the latest firmware, API, and software drivers to support the following platforms:
  • Windows® 98 SE
  • Windows Me

  • Windows XP (SP 1 and later)
  • Windows CE 3.0 Handheld PC
  • Windows CE 3.0 MS Pocket PC
  • Windows CE 3.0 Pocket PC 2002
  • Windows CE 4.x Pocket PC 2003 (also called Windows Mobile® 2003)
  • Windows CE .NET
  The SDK also includes a complete API manual and 17 sample applications that demonstrate how to take advantage of the main features of the GPRS/EDGE network cards and the SB750A embedded module.
• CDMA SDK R1.0.1.1 for C++ - Latest APIs, drivers and sample applications for the AirCard 550, AirCard 555 and SB555. The major Windows CE and notebook platforms are supported. Please read the Release Notes for important details.
• CDMA SDK R1.0.1.1 for Visual Basic - Similar to SDK for C++ except only Windows notebook platforms are supported.
