IPSec VPN
ALEOS includes IPSec VPN for enhanced data security to your remote assets. Protect your data by creating a secure 2-way channel to and from assets located outside of your physical infrastructure. By integrating IPSec into ALEOS and AceWare, we have enabled users to download this feature to already deployed compatible AirLink gateway devices (PinPoint X, Raven X and Raven XT). Furthermore, with an easy to use interface in AceWare, administrators can configure IPSec VPN settings for their entire fleet of devices from a central location.

ALEOS now includes an Events Reporting Engine that allows users to generate data messages that are fine-tuned to work with their middleware applications. Unlike prior remote cellular modems that reported all data at a pre-set interval, regardless of whether there were changes to report, our Events Reporting Engine can be tailored to meet a customer’s specific information requirements.
The Events Reporting Engine allows users to manage the amount and type of data they send over-the-air and configure reports to provide customized, relevant information based on pre-set triggers. This feature improves the efficiency of the engine, making the overall system more responsive by providing the right data, at the right time. Another important aspect of this feature is that it minimizes the amount of data passed over the network, allowing customers to manage their data usage better.
Deeply integrated with our AceWare tools, Events Reporting allows customers to set parameters via a user friendly interface. Customers are not required to load any additional software, and there is no comlicated code to write.
The Events Reporting Engine gives you complete control of:
- What Data to Report: Users can select data for reports based on predefined data groups.
- When to Report Data: Events are triggered when the value of a data item crosses a threshold or, in the case of binary switches, if the value of the data item changes. Event examples include: analog voltage crosses threshold; digital IO state is changed, RSSI levels; vehicle speeds; and more.
- Where to Send Reports: Collected data can be distributed to multiple destinations using email, SMS and Reporting Server.
