Sierra Wireless Awards in 2001

On December 12, 2001 the Sierra Wireless AirCard 555 won a Best of Show award at Internet World Fall. The Sierra Wireless 555 was recognized for Best in Class in Communication and Collaboration and chosen for its attention to always-on high-speed access and user power consumption. The Best of Show Awards are presented to companies whose products and services demonstrate how they advance the state of the art in Internet development, site operations, commerce, communications, and customer relationship management.

In December 2001, Sierra Wireless was recognized in Canada's Top 100 Employers - Canada's Best Places to Work 2002 edition. Selected from thousands of companies and organizations from across Canada, Sierra Wireless is proud to make this year's finalist list which include employers from every region of the country and every major industry. On November 28, 2001 Sierra Wireless, along with SBC Communications, Accenture and Panasonic, received a Moby Award for Best Use of Mobile Computing and Wireless Data Communications Technology in the category of Sales Force Automation. The award recognized SBC's implementation of a mobile solution as part of the Technician of the Future Program. The Moby Awards represent the best implementations of mobile computing and wireless data communication technology and are awarded annually by Mobile Insights team of analysts.

On November 14, 2001 Sierra Wireless was named a Fast 500 winner in Deloitte and Touche's Technology Fast 500 award program. The Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program is a quantum achievement for those companies selected. The program ranks the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in North America. Those chosen must outperform other companies represented by Deloitte & Touche's 22 regional U.S. and Canadian Fast 50 programs.

On November 7, 2001 Sierra Wireless was awarded a T-Net 100 award and named 'One of BC's Top 100 Technology Companies'. The T-Net 100 Awards Program honors BC's top 100 private and publicly traded technology companies each year.

On October 30, 2001 Sierra Wireless was recognized as "Outstanding Business of the Year" for best in business and community service by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce.

 




On September 20, 2001Sierra Wireless was named one of the Fast 50 winners in the Deloitte and Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 award program.

The Deloitte and Touche Technology Fast 50 recognizes and celebrates the phenomenal contributions of the Fast 50 fastest who are thinking and leading by example. This award recognizes the importance of Canadian Technology companies and profiles Canada's industry leaders helping them to get the attention and support they deserve at home and abroad.





On June 12, 2001, Sierra Wireless was presented with the "Outstanding Product Achievement Award" at the 16th annual CATAAlliance Innovation & Leadership Awards in the Nation's Capital for its AirCard line of wireless modems. The Sierra Wireless AirCard family was selected based on their proven achievements in operation along with their design and market success - enhancing Canada's international reputation for innovations and excellence.



Sierra Wireless sponsors the 9th Annual Whistler Cup competition April 6-8, 2001 in Whistler. The Whistler Cup is North America's only international juvenile ski race for girls and boys aged 11 to 14.

On February 20, 2001, the Sierra Wireless AirCard® 510 received the Mobility Award 2001 for Mobile Modules at the seventh Annual Mobile Insights Conference. The Sierra Wireless AirCard 510 follows the award-winning path of the Sierra Wireless AirCard 210 and Sierra Wireless AirCard 300. Over 30 of the top editors, journalists, and analysts from the mobile computing and data communications industries voted online through a confidential ballot.

On February 13, 2001 Sierra Wireless was honored with a "Wireless Wonder" award for the Sierra Wireless AirCard® 510 at the eighth annual Wireless Symposium. The Sierra Wireless AirCard® 510, the world's first true type II CDMA PC Card modem is one of the 'Seven Wireless Wonders of the Year 2000.
