Sierra Wireless Awards in 2000



In 2000 Sierra Wireless was awarded the Employee Gold Award for an outstanding contribution to our community through support of United Way.





On September 13, 2000, Sierra Wireless's AirCard 300 and United Airlines won the Moby Award in the category of Transportation. The AirCard 300 was integrated into United Airline's operations to help them solve business problem and provide real-time information. Selection for this award is based on innovation, impact on users and robustness.









On October 2, 2000, David Sutcliffe and Andrew Harries accepted the "The Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2000" on behalf of the Sierra Wireless team. This award, sponsored by Ernst & Young, declared Sierra Wireless as the winner for the Pacific Canada region. The criteria for winning this award included growth, financial performance, innovation, strategic positioning, continued involvement of founders, company culture, values and incentives.









The AirCard 300 received the Best PC Card award by Mobile Insights. Winners were chosen by a select group of 35 mobile computing industry analysts and press representatives. Forty categories of mobile computing hardware and software were on this year's ballot, and more than 260 products were nominated.






In 1999 Sierra Wireless was awarded the Employee Gold Award for an outstanding contribution to our community through support of United Way.
