Solution

Designed and developed at D.T.C.’s Research Laboratory, the SW-E Series Fleet Management and Monitoring solution is built around the Sierra Wireless AirPrime Q2687 Intelligent Embedded Module. In order to develop customer requirements, D.T.C.’s tracking system uses the Open AT Operating System.

The SW-E Series is a small electronic device connected to the GPS network, a satellite-based navigation system, which can be used to track vehicles and report their position, route, starting and stopping time, speed, as well as the engine status. The vehicles’ information is then reported through the wireless GPRS network to the customer’s computer in real time, thus allowing evaluation and detection of the vehicles’ usage for efficiency enhancement.

D.T.C’s tracking system integrates all necessary information into the digital map such as Administrative Boundaries, Area of Interest (AOI), Water Body, Buildings, Point of Interests (POI) / Landmarks, Road Networks, Railways, BTS, MRT and can generate over 27 types of real time reports on speed, engine status, location, infringe into a forbidden area, according to the customer’s needs.
